Alluring Oklahoma

50 UNITED STATES

Oklahoma is filled with overly friendly, sweet and kind residents. I was also taken back with how much there was to do as well as how beautiful it was. Each day I discovered another unassuming beautiful road that was more pretty than the last. There is something very special about this place and I mean everything from it’s lands, to museums, to it’s food.

National Cowboy and Heritage Museum

This is a museum located in Oklahoma City. It represents the Mid West’s history and culture. It has amazing sculptures and unbelievable water color painting. Living in New York City for years I was always going to exhibits and museums and this place still blew me away. So much history and so much talent that represented it properly. Another amazing thing is that this Museum is FREE to get into on Wednesday’s. If you find yourself in Oklahoma City then you must swing by here!

Cattleman’s Steakhouse

When you come to Oklahoma City you will most definitely hear about Cattleman’s Steakhouse. It is another staple amongst Oklahoma City residents. I was told to order the Lamb Fries so I did. Of course I am thinking that it would be actual fries mixed with lamb. Boy was I wrong it was lamb testicles! So I knew it would be mind over matter so I closed my eyes and tried it. They actually tasted alot of chicken fingers except even softer. They were delicious! So when you come to Cattleman’s make sure to order some lamb fries and close your eyes when trying them.

Will Roger’s Park

Since I was doing alot of driving and wasn’t really back into a daily regimen yet I decided to look for a park to get some walking and running in. I just googled was close and happened to find myself here. As I pulled into the parking lot I realized how stunning this place was. I felt that I was transplanted into another time period. The landscape perfectly maintained and the trails leading you into the most fantastic field of flowers. I ended up taking more pictures then running but it was worth the time!

Burn Co BBQ

After heading to Tulsa for a day I decided to see how delicious Oklahoma’s BBQ was and boy was I glad that I did. Burn Co BBQ is ONLY open for around 4 hours pr day and that’s because they are that good. By the time I got there almost everything was sold out. So the person suggested that I have a platter for pulled pork, sausage and bologna. I usually just stick my usual brisk and ribs but I am glad that I did get a chance to try these since they were overwhelming delicious!
