Maryland- Where to Explore!

50 UNITED STATES

Maryland is another beautiful state. It’s beaches are out of this world and also some of the most traveled to beaches in the entire country. From the crazy busy tourist central Ocean City to the quaint island of Assateague. It has something to offer to everyone.

Ocean City

As I headed to Maryland my first choice was to go to Ocean City. Growing up in New Jersey many people that I know vacationed in Ocean City. I actually never made it Ocean City so I decided that there was no better time to explore than now. It’s such a big tourist area that was completely dead during this time of the year. I was able to sit back, relax, and walk the boardwalk all the way to the end and back again. I was able to enjoy some fresh seafood while having a front row seat to the amazing sunsets.

Assateague Island

I also heard of Assateague Island before since it’s known for it’s wild ponies. An island with wild horses! There are roughly 300 wild ponies that roam this tiny island. I didn’t really know what to expect but sure enough there was a horse walking towards my car in the middle of the road. I could not believe what I was seeing. Shortly behind that horse was another one! I decided to slowly move my car out of the way so I would not distract the horses. It’s a bit of a rush since you have no idea where they are and when you will see them. The wild horses makes this island extremely unique and one of a kind!
